Meghan is the current cover star of Vanity Fair and speaks about her relationship with Harry during the interview.

But his late mother, Princess Diana, also has a link to the feature thanks to a member of her former team working on the production.

Her make-up artist, Mary Greenwell, worked with the Princess of Wales for Vogue and Vanity Fair shoots.

The LA-born beauty indulges in a surprising number of typically unhealthy foods, but her food routine is rather simple.

She told the site, in an article called “What actress Meghan Markle actually eats in a day” that she eats differently when she is filming and when she is not.

An American magazine, US Weekly, claimed today that Meghan Markle was introduced to the Queen at Balmoral on September 3. 

There was no immediate confirmation from Kensington Palace, which refused to comment, but royal biographer Ingrid Seward, the editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine, appeared to provide some corroboration.

Ms Seward, who knew Harry’s mother, Princess Diana, well, said she understood that the fifth in line to the throne and Ms Markle, who have been dating for 13 months, went to Balmoral together shortly after returning from a safari holiday in Botswana and Zambia.

“I’m 98 per cent sure,” she said. “I can’t be 100 per cent because I didn’t actually see them.”

Prince Harry, 32, and Meghan Markle, 36, have been dating since this time last year, and a wedding could soon be on the cards after sources claim the Suits star met the Queen on September 3. 

Later this month, the pair will also take part in their official royal engagement together, it has been reported. 

So what do we know about their relationship so far, and will an engagement happen soon if it has not already? 

August spelled a busy month for Harry as he whisked girlfriend Meghan away to Botswana in Africa for her 36th birthday and on his return he marked the 20th anniversary of his mother Princess Diana’s death. 

During their trip to Africa the pair travelled to Botswana to soak up the wildlife, and they even took a water safari on the Okavango Delta. 

They then went to Livingstone in Zambia at the end of last week and finished their trip at Victoria Falls, one of the seven ‘natural wonders’ of the world. 

Many people have drawn similarities to the time Prince William proposed to the Duchess, Kate Middleton in Kenya.

As well as being the place where William proposed to Kate, its the destination the brothers and their father, Prince Charles, flew too after their mother, Princess Diana, died.

He has called it the place “where I feel more like myself than anywhere else in the world” and where he has an “intense sense of complete relaxation and normality”.

Friends of the pair claim the engagement is already official. 

A source told the Daily Star Sunday Prince Harry popped the question to the Suits actress while the couple were camping in Botswana.

They said the helicopter pilot prince flew Meghan out to the top secret site before proposing under the stars.

Rather than a ring, Harry reportedly chose Zulu betrothal bracelets, an updated version of those currently worn by the couple as a symbol of love.

The source said: “Harry’s told his friends he’s hoping to make the official announcement in September.

“The setting and the bracelets were just so special to Harry.”
