Princess Beatrice engaged to Edoardo – how much is her engagement ring worth?

Princess Eugenie has confirmed the engagement of her sister, Princess Beatrice, in a post on Instagram. Beatrice has been rumoured to be dating Edo since the beginning of the year and their engagement has now been confirmed. In a post online, Eugenie wrote: “Beabea – wow! I’m so happy for you my dearest big sissy and dear Edo. It’s been a long time coming and you two are meant to be.” How much is her stunning engagement ring worth?

Princess Eugenie posted a selection of snaps of Princess Beatrice with her fiancé, Edoardo.

She included a quote from the happy couple, which read: “We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement.

“We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to actually be married. We share so many similar interests and values and we know that this will stand us in great stead for the years ahead, full of love and happiness.”

In the pictures, Beatrice flashed her stunning ring which featured a large central diamond.

The stunning ring let the jewel take centre stage and it was placed on a silver band.

So, how much did the ring cost?

Speaking to Express.co.uk, Tobias Kormind, managing director of 77Diamonds.com, said: “Princess Beatrice’s ring is a beautiful 3.5 carat round diamond, of medium quality, set in an art deco design, with tapered baguettes on each side of the centre stone. I would value this ring at £60,000.”

The ring is believed to have been designed by Edo in collaboration with the British jewellery designer, Shaun Leane. 

Members of Beatrice’s family have been quick to congratulate her on the engagement and Sarah Ferguson posted a statement on Instagram. 

In the post, she wrote: “I know what a mother feels so I have tears of joy. I am so proud of this sensational news. Andrew and I are just the luckiest people ever to have two great sons in law.

“@princesseugenie took the colour photographs as my girls are so close. Beatrice and Edo wanted her to capture this special moment.”

 The Duke of York Instagram account, which shares news of her father, Prince Andrew, also shared a post gushing over the couple. 

Along with pictures of the couple, the post also confirmed the wedding is likely to take place next year. 

The post said: “The Duke and Duchess of York are delighted to announce the engagement of Princess Beatrice to Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

“Her Royal Highness and Mr Mapelli Mozzi became engaged in Italy earlier this month. The wedding will take place in 2020. Further details will be announced in due course.⁣”
