Princess Beatrice wedding: All the stunning tiaras Bea could borrow for her big day
Royal weddings have plenty of traditions, from a sprig of myrtle in the bouquet to rings made from the same rare nugget of Welsh gold. But anyone royal wedding fan will know, no bride is complete without a show-stopping tiara to complete the look.
Princess Beatrice, 31, will almost certainly wear a tiara for her wedding day, keeping with the tradition set by royal women for decades.
But which one will she choose? Will she surprise everyone like her sister, Princess Eugenie?
Or will she follow tradition and wear her family jewels, the York tiara?
Here’s a look at some of the tiaras chosen for previous famous royal weddings, any of which the Queen may lend to her granddaughter for her big day.

The York tiara – worn by Sarah Ferguson
Sarah, Duchess of York, Beatrice’s mother, wore a tiara which had been created especially for her wedding to Prince Andrew.
It’s said that this diamond-encrusted piece was specially commissioned by the Queen for the nuptials.
It features a five-carat diamond and is flanked by floral scrollwork.
According to gemologist Grant Mobley, it’s estimated worth is at least $300,000 (£230,226).
Queen Mary Fringe Tiara – worn by the Queen
The stunning tiara worn by the Queen on her wedding day in 1947 was created in 1919 by Gerrard.
This headpiece was created by dismantling a necklace of Queen Mary’s, given to her as a wedding present by Queen Victoria.
It is made up of 47 diamond bars. These are divided by smaller diamond spikes.
Queen Mary gifted the tiara to her daughter-in-law, the Queen Mother, who later lent it to her daughter, who was at the time Princess Elizabeth, and granddaughter, Anne, the Princess Royal, on their wedding days.
Cartier Halo Tiara – worn by Kate Middleton
Kate Middleton, now the Duchess of Cambridge, wore the Cartier Halo Tiara on her and Prince William’s wedding day back in 2011.
This headpiece belonged to the Queen Mother.
The Court Jeweller says that this was made by Cartier in 1936, and given to the Queen Mother by King George VI as an anniversary present.
Queen Elizabeth II received this piece of jewellery on her 18th birthday in 1944, and it has been worn by the Queen Mother, Princess Margaret, the Princess Royal, and the Duchess of Cambridge.
The Queen’s daughter, Princess Anne, also chose this tiara for her wedding in 1973.
Princess Andrew’s Meander Tiara – worn by Zara Tindall
In 2011, when Zara Phillips married Mike Tindall, the bride wore the Princess Andrew’s Meander Tiara.
This piece of jewellery has a diamond bandage which was possibly made in France i the early twentieth century, The Court Jeweller reports.
It was gifted to Queen Elizabeth II in 1947 as a wedding present, by Princess Andrew of Greece and Denmark.
In 1972, the Queen passed it down to get daughter, the Princess Royal.
