Sophie, Countess of Wessex, was amongst a steady stream of famous faces arriving at St George’s Chapel this morning.

The 53-year-old is married to Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex – the youngest son of Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh.

The Countess opted for a dark navy dress for the occasion, which is reportedly by Azzedine Alaia.

Her outfit featured a midi cut, and cinched slightly at her waist.

The dress also had a scoop neckline and short sleeves, with diagonal cuts at the edge of the material.

Sophie teamed the look with a huge hat, which she was forced to hold onto due to a bout of windy weather.

Keeping to a dark-toned theme, she accessorised her outfit with a black clutch bag.

The Countess also wore a pair of navy blue stilettos, and a black wristwatch.

She was pictured arriving at the star-studded event with her husband Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, and their son James, Viscount Severn.

The 54-year-old, who is reigning monarch’s third son, looked very dapper in a long black tailcoat.

He wore grey trousers, a blue patterned tie, as well as a pale gold waistcoat.

Meanwhile, their youngest child, 10-year-old James, also put on a very smart display in a black suit.

The royal couple’s daughter, 14-year-old Lady Louise Windsor took on the role of a bridesmaid today, and arrived with the rest of the bridal party today.

Lady Louise, who is Queen Elizabeth’s youngest grandchild, was joined by her cousin Prince William’s two eldest children, five-year-old Prince George and three-year-old Princess Charlotte.

Savannah, seven, and Isla Phillips, six, who are the two daughters of Autumn and Peter Phillips, were also bridesmaids.

They were joined by their cousin, Mia Tindall, the four-year-old daughter of Zara and Mike Tindall.

Princess Eugenie also asked her daughter five-year-old Maud Windsor – who is the daughter of Lord and Lady Frederick Windsor – to be part of the wedding party.

The final bridesmaid was Theodora “Teddy” Williams, six, who is the daughter of Robbie Williams and Ayda Field.

Louis de Givenchy, six, who is the son of Mrs Zoe De Givenchy and Mr Olivier De Givenchy, joined Prince George as a pageboy.

Princess Eugenie wore a stunning white wedding dress, which had been designed by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos.
