Queen Letizia of Spain looks effortlessly cool as she takes style tips from Meghan Markle

Queen Letizia joined her husband King Felipe of Spain yesterday to mark the 20th Anniversary of ‘La Razon’ newspaper in Madrid.

The 47-year-old Monarch wore a strikingly similar outfit to one worn by Meghan Markle, 37, during her royal tour of New Zealand last week.

The stylish royal wore a gold pleated midi skirt with a black crew neck top for the event.

She teamed the metallic ensemble with a pair of black high-heeled boots and wore a long black jacket over her shoulders.

In her hands she carried a small black handbag with a gold detail which coordinated with her sparkly skirt.

Queen Letizia swept her hair back into a chic low ponytail revealing a cool pair of gold drop earrings with a star at the front in on ear and a gold stud in the other.

Royal fans will recall the Duchess of Sussex in a similar outfit by Clare Waight-Keller for Givenchy on Wednesday.

Meghan wore a blue pleated skirt and crew neck top during a walkabout with her husband Prince Harry in Rotorua, New Zealand.
