Queen Letzia of Spain in pictures: HRH looks like movie star as she meets Martin Scorsese
Queen Letzia of Spain met American director Martin Scorsese yesterday in Oviedo, Spain.
The 75-year-old, who is most famous for films such as Taxi Driver, Goodfellas and Gangs of New York starring Leonardo DiCaprio, was at an event for young Spanish filmmakers.
At the “Fabrica Scorsese” in the old Weapons Factory of La Vega, the director was joined by his wife Helen Morris and the Queen of Spain.
Wearing a round-neck, sleeveless checked top which tied into a bow at the waist and skinny black jeans, the 46-year-old royal looked effortlessly stylish at the film event in Northern Spain.
Keeping her jewellery to a minimum, the Monarch paired the look with a small pair of earrings which were visible under the loose tendrils of her hair which was pulled back into a chic chignon.
Black stilettos and black leather handbag finished off her look.
Today, Scorsese will be awarded the Princess of Asturias Award for his lifetime contribution to cinema, which is the highest honour awarded by Spain for the arts.
The annual award was formerly known as the “Prince of Asturias Awards” but was renamed when Felipe VI became King and his eldest daughter Princess Leonor became the heir apparent.
Mother-of-two Letizia attend the event in place of her 12-year-old daughter Leonor, Princess of Asturias.
