Queen Maxima in pictures: Monarch stuns in red for Germany visit with husband
Queen Maxima choose a beautiful red dress and matching hat for an outing in Germany today.
The Dutch Queen joined her 51-year-old husband Willem-Alexander, King of the Netherlands, for a tour of Porta Nigra in Trier.
The royal couple arrived at the UNESCO World Heritage site to a waiting crowd of well-wishers and were presented with flowers by a young girl.
The magnificent city gate is the largest Roman city gate north of the Alps.
The King and Queen are currently on a three-day working visit to Rhineland-Palatinate state of Germany.
47-year-old Maxima wore a stunning nude dress embellished with tiny red dots on a sheer fabric this morning.
She teamed the stunning gown with matching red heels and carried a small clutch bag.
The mother-of-three completed her ensemble with a bold 1960s inspired red hat and hooped earrings.
While in Trier, the royal couple were also given a tour of the High Cathedral of Saint Peter – the oldest church in Germany.
Last night the couple joined the Prime Minister of Rhineland Palatinate for dinner.
Earlier in the day they enjoyed a boat trip on the river Rhine in Oberwesel.
