Queen Maxima of the Netherlands in pictures: Dutch Queen puts on a colourful display

Queen Maxima of the Netherland visited Bruinisse today, a town in the Dutch province of Zeeland.

The 47-year-old royal joined her husband King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, 51, for a regional visit to Schouwen-Duiveland and Tholen.

The stylish Monarch looked radiant in a colourful ensemble that ensured waiting royal fans would not miss her.

Maxima wore a blue long sleeve top with a multi-coloured skirt for the royal engagement.

The knee-length skirt featured a sheer panel at the bottom and had strips of yellow, blue and purple running horizontally.

The beautiful piece of clothing was embellished with pink and red flowers which also ran in stripes around the skirt.

Mother-of-three Maxima, who is known for her modern approach to royal fashion, finished off her outfit with red shoes and a matching red hat.

The Dutch Queen was seen wearing the same hat for a royal outing in Germany last week.

Queen Maxima teamed the eye-catching hat with a stunning red dress when she visited UNESCO World Heritage site Porta Nigra in Trier with her husband.

The King and Queen of the Netherlands have had a busy week and welcomed the Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang and his wife Cheng Hong to Noordeinde Palace in The Hague last night.

The Monarch looked stunning in an elegant grey dress which highlighted her long legs.

She teamed the look, which contrasts today’s outfit, with a pair of black heels and a black clutch bag.
