Rambo 5 Last Blood NEW trailer: Sylvester Stallone’s action hero prepares for WAR – WATCH

Almost four decades and four movies on and Sylvester Stallone is finally back as John Rambo. The fifth outing, titled Rambo: Last Blood hits cinemas next month and now has a brand new trailer which begins and ends with classic moments from previous outings. In the latest teaser, we learn why Rambo is back in the US. The 73-year-old says: “I finally came home, to defend the only family I’ve even known.”

We then see a girl address him as “Uncle John”, before Rambo’s voice can be heard grumbling: “All she’s got is me.”

The official premise of Rambo: Last Blood reads: “John Rambo travels to Mexico to save a friend’s daughter who has been kidnapped by the Mexican cartel.

Aside from confronting the drug lords, there are some epic and brutal shots of Rambo taking them out on what looks like his home turf.

Clearly, he’s setting up some boobytraps Home Alone-style for one last stand.

Speaking at Cannes Film Festival, he said “Let me just say something about the ‘last’ of anything.

“I thought Rocky 3 was the last, you know. So I don’t know anything.

“If it works I’ll just keep going, you know because I enjoy it so much.”

Rambo: Last Blood is released in UK cinemas on September 19, 2019.
