This year there were no real surprises of those who took home Golden Raspberrys.

Cats, the movie which was taken out of Oscar contention for its dismal special effects, was a real winner at this awards ceremony.

Though Tom Hooper is an Oscar winning director, his work in Cats sadly won him the Worst Director Award, while his movie also received plaudits for being the Worst Picture.

In the acting categories, Cats reined supreme again for its supporting stars, with James Corden and Rebel Wilson winning the worst supporting actor and actress awards.

Needless to say, this was rather expected, though the pair have already had the chance to dress up as cats when they presented an award at the Oscars.

Cats was not the only film to get a beating at the movie awards, as John Travolta took home the worst actor gong for his roles in The Fanatic and Trading Paint, while Hilary Duff was the sad winner the worst actress award for her role as Sharon Tate, in The Haunting of Sharon Tate.

Another movie was a double winner, Rambo: Last Blood, which won the award for being the worst prequel, remake, rip-off or sequel, as well as the award for the worst reckless disregard for human life and public property.

Clearly Sylvester Stallone’s efforts did not impress the judges, though Cats still took home the most awards, taking home six of 11 gongs.

The one award which may be well sought after, the Razzie Redeemer Award, went to Eddie Murphy for Dolemite Is My Name.

This award is given for an actor who has redeemed themselves after some not-too-enjoyable films, and Dolemite Is My Name was lauded by fans and critics.
