Sky Cinema releases 2020: All the new movies for June
During the coronavirus outbreak, it has been more important than ever to find new movies to enjoy. With cinemas closed, some of the movies we would usually love to watch are harder to get our hands-on. However, platforms like Sky Cinema put many brilliant movies in one place, some of which have been in the cinema not too long before they arrive on our small screens.

Sky Cinema is part of a Sky package, so generally those who can use the platform must already have a full subscription.
However, Sky Cinema is also available through NOW TV subscribers, as well as channels such as Sky Atlantic.
For those interested in accessing Sky Cinema via NOW TV, fans can click here for a seven-day trial, though after this trial you will be charged the usual monthly rate.
Here is a list of the best movies coming to Sky Cinema in June.
DON’T MISS…
New movies coming to Sky Cinema
Downton Abbey – arriving June 26
The hit TV series finally hit the big screen, and it was really loved by fans.
Lord Grantham (played by Hugh Bonneville) and his family were descended upon by royalty in this instalment, which saw all of Downton’s inhabitants frantically trying to put on the best show.
The film also hinted at the end of the Dowager’s (Maggie Smith) time in Downton, leaving fans desperate that if any more movies or specials come, she will be centre stage.
Maleficent: Mistress of Evil – arriving June 5
Angelina Jolie stars in the follow up to the 2014 Disney sensation Maleficent, which follows the back story of one of folklore’s most frightening villains.
In the second instalment, Maleficent is forced apart from her child, Aurora (played by Elle Fanning) after an awkward “meet the parents” moment goes horrifically wrong.
Also starring in the film is Michelle Pfeiffer as the formidable Queen Ingrith and Robert Lindsay as her slightly stupid husband.
The Kitchen
Gemini Man – arriving June 19
In Gemini Man, Will Smith stars as an ageing elite hitman who becomes targeted by a cryptic enemy who seems able to predict his every move.
This film became famous for its digital effects, which saw Smith play both his hitman and the young enemy, who had been de-aged by CGI.
As well as this, the frame rate was sped up so Gemini Man feels as much action-packed thriller as it does a video game on the big screen.

The Dead Don’t Die – arriving June 7
And now for something completely different, The Dead Don’t Die is a zombie movie like no other.
Directed by offbeat director Jim Jarmusch, the star-studded zombie movie is filled with oddball comedy and slow-moving set pieces.
The cast includes Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Selena Gomez, Steve Buscemi and Tilda Swinton.
The Dead Don’t Die
The Kitchen – arriving June 13
The Kitchen proves sisters really are doing it for themselves as three women become involved in a major heist.
The crime thriller starring Melissa McCarthy, Elisabeth Moss and Tiffany Haddish sees the wives of Irish mobsters take over organised crime operations in New York’s Hell’s Kitchen in the late 1970s, after the FBI arrests their husbands.
The film had a muted response from critics and came in the shadow of McCarthy’s Oscar-nominated performance in Can You Ever Forgive Me? as well as Moss’ turn in The Handmaid’s Tale.
