Solo A Star Wars Story: George Lucas asked for THIS Han scene to CHANGE – Guess which one

Han Solo has the hands of many men all over him.

No, this is not referring to the new openly pansexual Lando Calrissian flirting with the young wannabee smuggler.

Harrison Ford and Alden Ehrenreich have both put their stamp on the character, while directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller, followed by Ron Howard, have all shaped the latest big screen incarnation.

But only one man really, truly knows Han Solo and that is his creator, the creator of Star Wars, mister George Lucas. So when he spoke out on set, everyone listened and changes were made.

Ron Howard had the tricky task of rebooting the movie after the previous directors were unceremoniously dumped.

However, he revealed his surprise that George Lucas was so “reluctant” to offer opinions or suggest changes.

Except in this one, rather sexy scene, where the Star Wars legend offered a rather perfect change.

Howard told Vanity Fair about the incredible moment Lucas changed a scene and “became” Han Solo for a moment to illustrate his point.

It happened at the moment when Han and Qi’ra hook up in Lando’s closet and teh original draft had Han being a gentleman and hanging up Qi’ra’s cape as he undressed her.

Howard revealed: “He (Lucas) said, ‘You know, Han wouldn’t bother to hang it up.’

“And then he sort of did it. George became Han Solo for a second. The body language was there and the attitude. Not only was it a nice accent on the scene, but it was also a reminder that George created this character and really understood him.”

“He was so reluctant [to offer his opinion], and yet the choice was so right that it was fun to use it.”

Howard also eagerly confirmed that Harrison Ford had seen the movie twce already and was thrilled with his younger version on screen.

Howard added: “I had never heard Harrison effusive about anything, and he was raving about it. He said, ‘Alden nailed it. He made it his own.’”
