Sophie, Countess of Wessex in pictures: Royal meets Angelina Jolie at BFI event in London

Sophie, Countess of Wessex attended the “Fighting Stigma through Film” festival last night at the British Film Institute (BFI) on London’s Southbank.

The 53-year-old royal was pictured at the event with movie star Angelina Jolie, 43.

The two-day event, which is raising awareness for the Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative (PSVI), will screen documentaries from around the world to help fight the discrimination that survivors of sexual violence face.

Angelina, who is the United Nations Special Envoy of the High Commissioner for Refugees, founded the PSVI alongside former foreign secretary Lord William Hague of Richmond in 2012.

The actress, who looked stunning in an elegant white outfit, was pictured shaking hands and talking to the royal at the London event.

She wore a plunging white wrap dress with a lace slip dress underneath and a matching belt that nipped it in at the waist.

Wearing her brunette locks down to her shoulders the star added a slick of red lip stick and a pair of silver heels to her look.

The Earl of Wessex’s wife looked equally lovely in a contrasting navy ensemble on the night.

The beautiful royal wore her blonde hair in a chic chignon and added a pair of diamond earrings to her navy blue coat and satin shirt.
