Star Wars 9 casting leak reveals Rey has a CHILD? Is Kylo Ren the father?

The Star Wars news sites and fandoms have, ahem, given birth to some extraordinary rumours and leaks over the past few years but the latest one is causing a sensation.

A new casting leak said: “A white male toddler aged 4 has been cast for Episode 9.”

This ties in with recent plot descriptions two weeks ago which insisted that Rey would have a child in the final Star Wars movie. It also fits the increasing convictions that Episode 9 will take place a few years after The Last Jedi.

Is Kyo Ren really the father, did it really happen during that infamous Force touching scene or is the young child someone else entirely?

In one interview for The Last Jedi Rian Johnson even joked about that the moment when Rey was on Ahch-To and touched fingers with Kylo Ren on Snoke’s flagship.

He said it was the closest thing to a sex scene you will ever see in a Star Wars movie and Mark Hamill also brought it up.

Could Rey seriously have becoem pregnant at that moment? It may seem insane but remember how the midichlorians created Anakin? Don’t forget the other racey scene with a shirtless Kylo.

However there is a much more convincing and simple way to debunk this theory.

As one fan points out: ‘If Kylo Ren touching Rey gets her pregnant (which would be a very good reason for her to avoid him in future) wouldn’t it have happened before? He touches her a few times in The Force Awakens – in the forest, in the mind torture chair…”

Many fans, however, still suggest that the pregnancy will happen in the intervening years, with or without Kylo’s input.

Others, though, are still convinced that the unhappy pair will turn out to be closely related.

There is also a very stong suggestion that the child could be part of a major series of flashbacks which finally explain the fall of a central character.

Star Wars commentator Mike Zeroh adds: “The other big possibility is this could be a flashback sequence of a baby Ben Solo, before he meets his uncle Luke Skywalker or falls under the influence of Snoke.”

JJ Abrams has already demonstrated a flair for flashbacks and Force visions and this woud be the perfect way to finally explain how Kylo, or young Ben Solo, fell to the Dark Side.

STAR WARS; IS QI’RA REY’S MOTHER?

One last theory is that the child will be part of some kind of epilogue scene showing how Rey (with or without Kylo) will continue the Jedi legacy with her own son.

There is also an expectation that Episode 9 will continue to explore the idea that there are new budding Force users scatered across the galaxy, like the boy with the broom shown in the stables on Canto Bight.
