Star Wars 9 leaks: THIS Attack of the Clones link will HORRIFY fans in Episode IX

A recent Star Wars poster has ignited huge debate over what it reveals about Episode IX and whether or not it is legitimate. One character in particular appeared to be doing something so ridiculous it seemed to confirm the image was a hoax.  However, a major Star Wars site has cited leaked information from the Pinewood sets which corroborates what is shown on the poster. This, unfortunately, raises huge worries over whether a massively unpopular Attack of the Clones storyline is about to be repeated.

The leaked STAR WARS poster from Geekiverse showed C-3PO wielding a weapon. This is obviously completely out of character for the fussy droid with delicate sensibilities. A new scene description from recent footage ties in with a previous report leaked from Pinewood by the Making Star Wars site.

Back in February, Making Star Wars said: “There’s a scene in Star Wars: Episode IX where See-Threepio has Chewbacca’s bandolier on with his bowcaster and he’s holding Rey’s staff. It sounds like one of Threepio’s craziest situations since Attack of the Clones.”

The new poster leak definitely shows the droid holding the Wookiee crossbow weapon.

The immediate question is whether a faked poster simply used previously rumoured details.

However, Making Star Wars updated the details today: “There’s a planet where it snows with a droid factory and the main cast visits a droid factory.  On snowfall planet, See-Threepio reluctantly has his memory uploaded to Artoo-Detoo which leads to some funny issues for Artoo. This appears to explain the “Rambo” See-Threepio I wrote about a while ago which was later confirmed by The Geekiverse poster leak.

“So if Threepio is backed up to some kind of storage device on Artoo, what are they doing with Threepio? Are they loading another program into his body that explains why he has weapons? Is the rebellion weaponizing standard droids to fight back against The First Order?”

This raises two huge concerns.

First, the Resistance must be getting very desperate if they are using every available resource, including protocol droids, for battle situations.

Second, C-3PO’s ‘humorous’ battle moment in AOTC was a major part of the tonal misfires of the Prequel Trilogy that reached their low point in a certain Gungan.

Fans will be hoping Episode IX does not add ill-judged jokes at C-3PO’s expense to the long list of issues – centred on the perceived disrespect shown to legacy characters and storyline – which alienated a core section of the fandom in The Last Jedi.
