Star Wars 9 leaks: Will THIS Last Jedi Kylo Ren moment be ‘REVERSED’ in new movie?

Last year’s Star Wars film, Episode 8 in the main saga, saw Adam Driver’s complex antagonist Kylo Ren smashing up his iconic helmet, after it was mocked by Andy Serkis’s Supreme Leader Snoke. But now that Snoke is dead, it seems Kylo will be seen with a repaired version of the headgear in the next movie. That is, at least, according to an unverified alleged leak that has been doing the rounds online over recent days.

Making Star Wars appear to have verified the rumour, despite the lack of any official photos or promotional materials from the film.

It’s exciting for fans, if true – and a sign that Kylo will return to his appearance from the earliest stages of 2015’s The Force Awakens.

Reporter Jason Ward said of the Reddit whispers: “I can verify that it is legitimate and lines up with what I have been hearing for the last couple of months.

“This information came from a marketing meeting and my information came from Pinewood Studio sources and they seem to really validate one another.”

He added: “Sources have said they saw Kylo Ren with the reforged mask on in various stages of dress, which also means we can’t yet say how often he wears the helmet, so if this news disappoints you, try to keep that in mind.

“To them it looked like the mask was pieced back together using some kind of red crystalline bonding material.

“The visual gave the mask ‘a very corrupted look.’ A little Kylo, a little Vader, and maybe even with a hint of Maul’s facial stylings.”

Episode 9 has been filming in locations including Jordan and the UK’s Pinewood, ahead of its release date.

As things stand, it is the only Star Wars movie officially en route.

Beyond that, Lucasfilm have two TV shows in the pipeline: the first, The Mandelorian, is already in production.

Rian Johnson and the showrunners on Game of Thrones are also thought to have their own Star Wars trilogies en route, but no firm plans have been announced.

Star Wars 9 is out in late 2019.
