Star Wars 9 title and trailer THIS week? Date, time, stream Star Wars Celebration panel

Star Wars Celebration hits Chicago this weekend, and the Episode 9 panel is expected to be when fans will finally get some long-awaited details on the trilogy finale. JJ Abrams wrapped principle photography on the project back in February, and fans are still unaware of what the film is actually called. SWC has form with being a big event for Star Wars goodies: The Last Jedi dropped its first teaser at the event back in 2017, while Rogue One did the same in 2016.

So how can fans who aren’t in attendance in Chicago get the goodies?

The Star Wars Celebration panel for Episode 9 is scheduled for Friday, April 12, at 11am local time in Chicago.

This means it’ll be midday Eastern Time, and 8am Pacific Time.

For those in the UK, the event will kick off at 5pm.

The Star Wars 9 panel is expected to be streamed online on YouTube, like The Last Jedi panel two years ago.

In any case, the title and trailer will likely be made available instantly on the Star Wars social media feeds right away – assuming, that is, that Abrams and LucasFilm don’t keep us waiting once again.

The official description of the panel reads: “With the culmination of the Star Wars saga arriving before the end of the year, the Star Wars: Episode IX panel is one you will definitely not want to miss!

“With Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy and Star Wars: Episode IX director J.J. Abrams appearing onstage, you can count on plenty of surprises and special guests to keep your imagination buzzing for the rest of Celebration!”

The Episode 9 panel is the first piece of stage programming for the entire event.

Other highlights include a panel for new TV series The Manalorian, taking place on Sunday at 11am.

Star Wars: The Phantom Menace 20th Anniversary Celebration will take place on Monday at 11am, too.

Star Wars 9 is out on December 19.
