Star Wars 9 TRAILER and title release date CONFIRMED by JJ Abrams Celebration panel news?

Two years ago the first teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi was revealed after the film’s panel at Star Wars Celebration. This year the fan event takes place in Chicago from April 11-15, having had a fallow year in 2018. And now the event’s official Twitter account has shared the news that the Star Wars: Episode IX panel will take place on Friday, April 12 with director JJ Abrams. The tweet read: “This is the panel you’ve been waiting for! Don’t miss the Star Wars: Episode IX panel with director @jjabrams at #StarWarsCelebration Chicago!”.

Considering this is the event where the first teaser for The Last Jedi was shown two years ago, it’s highly likely this is where the first trailer for Star Wars: Episode IX will be launched from.

Of course, by then, we also knew the title was The Last Jedi after it was revealed in January of that year.

However, this time Lucasfilm have chosen not to announce the title yet.

Presumably, it will be at the end of the first teaser on April 12, just as was the case with Avengers Endgame, which is another Disney property.

On Carrie Fisher’s posthumous role, he added: “We’ve thought about her so much. Her spirit is there [in the film].

“Billie Lourd, her daughter, came and played a part, a part that she played in the last film as well, last couple of films.

“Her spirit was definitely there with us and we’re missing her.”

Star Wars Episode IX is released in UK cinemas on December 19, 2019.
