Star Wars: Solo movie runtime REVEALED – Is it longer than The Last Jedi?

In just over two months Disney’s second Star Wars spin-off will hit cinema screens in the form of Solo.

And fans have waiting to find out just how long the Han Solo prequel will.

After all, last Christmas’ The Last Jedi broke the record for the longest Star Wars movie to date, clocking in at an epic two hours and 32 minutes.

But will Solo be even longer?

The Star Wars spin-off is premiering at the Cannes Film Festival this summer out of competition.

And now the runtime has been revealed on the event’s official website.

Solo: A Star Wars Story will be two hours and 15 minutes long.

That’s a whole two minutes longer than the first Star Wars spin-off, Rogue One, which was released in 2016.

The new trailer packs as much humour as spectacular visual effects into almost every scene.

There are shades of the young star’s breakout cowboy role in Hail, Caesar as it blatantly poses Alden Ehrenreich as a young gunslinger, as there’s also an echo of a Wild West drawl in his banter with Chewbacca.

Solo: A Star Wars Story is released in UK cinemas on May 24, 2018.
