Last week the Strictly Come Dancing cast waved goodbye to yet another celebrity as Coronation Street actress Catherine Tyldesley followed in the footsteps of England goalie David James, presenter Dev Griffin, TV legend Anneka Rice and Olympic Rower James Cracknell.

However, tonight’s glittering show was a big one as competition heats up for the remaining nine couples in week seven.

The nine surviving pairs now dance past the competition’s halfway mark with the highly-anticipated Blackpool Tower Ballroom episode just two routines away!

Alex Scott and Neil Jones, who were partnered up for Strictly Come Dancing 2019, have said there is no romance between them, as they are too “immersed” in the BBC show to consider otherwise.

It is the 37-year-old’s chemistry with the former footballer, 35, that has had everyone talking, which the latter has remarked is “great”. However, they said it was all about the dancing just hours after they performed in the Halloween special.
