Superman film: 'All-American reboot VERY DIFFERENT from Henry Cavill' says star: WATCH
What the Kyrpton is going on?
News broke during the week of a new Superman film that would not involve Henry Cavill and now more details have emerged along with a video recording of the comments.
Fans had been divided by former DCEU head Zack Snyders vision for the Man of Steel, with criticisms of the overly dark and morally ambiguous tone.
However, is the reported “All-American Superman with no violence” what fans wants in the modern world?
The revelations were made at the 40th Anniversary screening of Richard Bonner’s classic 1978 film with Christopher Reeve.
During a Q&A aferwards, Jack O’Halloran, who starred as the menacing but mute Kryptonian villain Non in Superman: The Movie, dropped the bomshell.
He said: “We’ve got something really super up our sleeve with the storyline. You’re going to really, really love it. Superman was the first America Superman, using the All-American way and the fact that there was no violence and killing…”
Are they seriously bringing back Christopher Reeve using holograms?

The 75-year-old star added: “For all your guys out there, we’ve got a plan in motion… We’re trying to make a deal with Warner Brothers now to bring Christopher back. To do another Superman..(using) hologram technology. To do the All-American way and take Superman back to a wholesome (place?). And I think we’re gonna pull it off.”
It is quite a revelation but immediately throws up obvious questions.
Firstly, neither Warner Bros nor Cavill have confirmed whether he is leaving the role, despite his commitment to the new Witcher TV show.
Secondly, why is a relatively low-profile actor making such a huge announcement?
Thirdly, why would they need to negotiate with Warner Bros and why would WB allow any other incarnation of one its most prized assets?
It sounds like this may be an independent, small-scale project. However, it does throw attention back on the issue of what WB will do with the character.
The timeframe also links to the upcoming WB Supergirl reboot which is reported to be set in the 1970s.
One possible way a Christopher Reeve image could be used in that film is if the entire storyline is set in a separate timeline, raher like the current Joker movie starring Joaquin Phoenix, which will operate separately from the main DCEU Justice League franchise.
