Express.co.uk looks through some of the socialite, model, presenter and charity patron’s best fashion looks.
In 2004 mini skirts were having a revival and the slender model arrived at the TV Quick Soap Awards at London’s Dorchester Hotel wearing the tiniest of garments in eye-catching metallic silver chain mail.
She paired the skirt with a tiny tank stop with silver strap details and an extravagant silver choker necklace.
In 2005 the fashion forward Brit walked in Tristan Webber’s London Fashion Week Spring 2005 show in a green ball gown with bamboo detail that flashed her long legs.
The next year, at Glamour Women of the Year Awards, Tara wore a sophisticated beige dress that matched her tan and a had a high leg slit to the event at Berkeley Square.
The fashion icon had many A-list friends, and was invited to the Julien MacDonald fashion week show during London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2007 – to which she wore a gold sparking mini skirt.
Looking like Audrey Hepburn, the star arrived at the wedding of Melissa Percy and Thomas van Straubenzee at Alnwick Castle in June 2013 wearing a beautiful striped ensemble with a wide primed hat.
At a Sugababes concert in 2006 she was the epitome of early 2000s casual chic in a beige blouse, mini skirt and long brown boots with sunglasses, while at the Tatler 300th anniversary party in 2009 she wore a very racy and revealing grey dress, which showed the star’s nipples and her underwear.
Attending the party to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Range Rover hosted by Vogue at The Orangery in July, 2010 Tara showed off a much more demure and sophisticated style in a stunning white 1920s style gown with silver fringing and detail.
At the Royal Wedding of Prince William to Catherine Middleton at Westminster Abbey in 2011 she wore a striking blue dressing with off-the-shoulder detail and a matching fascinator.
Tara spoke out about the moment she feared for her life when doctors told her she had a brain tumour in November 2016.
She explained: “I went to the doctors to talk about my latest blood test results when I got back from skiing in January. I said: ‘What does this mean? Can you translate it?’ And the doctor said: ‘As I suspected, you have a brain tumour’.
“I got terribly frightened. I started thinking, ‘I’m going to die, I’m going to die. I’ve only got a couple of weeks to live.’ Stuff like that,” she added to the Daily Mail.
