How old do you have to be to watch The Good Liar?
For those hoping to bring their kids along to watch The Good Liar, sadly there is a limit on how old they should be.
The movie has been given a rating of 15 by the BBFC, meaning those who are aged under 15 are not allowed to watch the movie in the cinema.
Parents are not allowed to bring their children who are under 15 to the cinema to see this movie at all, so sadly youngsters may have to be left at home.
According to the BBFC, there are some particularly aspects of the movie which may make some people uncomfortable, or may prove the film to be unsuitable for teenagers.
The BBFC says: “There is infrequent very strong language (c**t) and use of strong language (f**k).
“Scenes include a man’s hand being struck with a meat tenderiser, a man being stabbed in the eye and pushed in front of a train, and infrequent shootings.
“In the aftermath of a shooting, there is brief sight of gory injury detail to a man’s face.
“In flashback, a teenage boy rapes a teenage girl.
“The sequence does not show strong detail or nudity, but partial sight of heads and faces strongly implies what is occurring.
“There is sexualised breast nudity as women dance around poles in a strip club.”
Some parents may feel some of this details is unsuitable for their teens, even if they are technically old enough to see the movie.
In this case, it is advised parents watch the film first, perhaps to ensure the movie is suitable for their children, or suggest alternative movies for their teens to watch.
