The Hate U Give release date, cast, trailer, plot – All you need to know
The Hate U Give will have its UK premiere at the London Film Festival on October 20.
But before The Hate U Give was a movie, it was a novel and before that a short story.
Angie Thomas began the story in 2009, before shifting it into a novel which was published in 2017.
Now heading into cinemas worldwide, The Hate U Give is a timely and personal takedown of the institutional racism rampant in America today.
When is The Hate U Give out in cinemas?
The Hate U Give had its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 7.
This was followed by a run in American film festivals, from Chicago to San Diego.

“The uneasy balance between these worlds is shattered when Starr witnesses the fatal shooting of her childhood best friend Khalil at the hands of a white police officer.
“Now, facing pressures from all sides of the community, Starr must find her voice and stand up for what’s right.”
