Toy Story 4 currently holds a 98 percent rating, having dropped only two percent from its perfect 100 after debuting in cinemas. The fourth instalment of the beloved Pixar franchise has been heralded by critics and fans alike. But fanfare and critical acclaim don’t always translate at the box office on opening weekend.

How much has Toy Story 4 made at the box office?

Disney announced the three-day box office take for Toy Story 4 as £92.5 million ($118m).

Predictions slowly decreased from the fourquel’s debut on Friday, June 21.

Industry experts initially predicted £106m ($136m), which dropped to £96.3m ($123.7m) on Saturday morning, to Disney’s final figure as of writing.

First is, as you might guess, Avengers: Endgame followed by Captain Marvel.

Which means 2019 is a good year for Disney, the parent company of both Marvel and Pixar.

Toy Story 4 currently also holds the highest global opening for an animated movie.

With this record in mind, many predict the fourth Toy Story film could take over one billion dollars worldwide.

Disney President of Distribution and Franchise management Cathleen Taff announced this morning: “It’s a huge debut and we’re thrilled about the opening.
