The horror movie currently holds 98 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

The critics’ consensus reads: “With Jordan Peele’s second inventive, ambitious horror film, we have seen how to beat the sophomore jinx, and it is Us.”

George Simpson for Express.co.uk gave the movie four out of five stars.

He wrote: “Beneath the bloody horror and entertaining action, Us has an intelligent and thoughtful subtext just like Get Out, one that proves the film’s anything but a trashy gore-fest.
