Wonder Woman 1984 has been at the centre of DC Comic‘s stage since the 2017 movie’s success.

The Wonder Woman sequel took some time to be confirmed, with director Patty Jenkins eventually returning to direct.

More and more teasers are being leaked by Jenkins herself, alongside Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman/Diana Prince).

Wonder Woman 1984 features Cheetah, played by Kristen Wiig, as the main antagonist to Diana Prince.

One fan-theorist who has a reputation as a dependable leaker, twitter user DanielRPK, doesn’t think Cheetah is the only villain.

DanielRPK suggested Pedro Pascal, who is cast in an undisclosed role, could be “a God in disguise.”

But just because he’s a god, doesn’t mean he’s good.

Pascal could be Ares reborn in Wonder Woman 1984 or an amalgamation of a few villains.

Wonder Woman 1984 sees Pascal as a slippery con man, which points to him potentially filling the role of Maxwell Lord.

Lord used Batman’s secret Brother Eye surveillance system to try and wipe out all metahumans on Earth.

Whatever Pascal’s role in Wonder Woman 1984 will be, there will be plenty of theories to whet the appetite.

What does Chris Pine’s return mean in Wonder Woman 1984?

The newest photo of Chris Pine as Steve Trevor caused quite the uproar.

At the end of the first Wonder Woman, Trevor sacrificed himself to help Diana save the world – an admirable fate, but not one fans anticipated would be reversed.

However, the set photo of Trevor in 80s garb proved otherwise, with fan theories linked to the comic books seeking to explain how he could be alive in the 1980s.

The same Wonder Woman fan, DanielRPK, claimed the idea Chris Pine is playing someone else such as a descendant of Trevor is wrong.

And if Wonder Woman is imagining Trevor either from grief or longing it wouldn’t explain why he’s dressed in 80’s clothes.

Wonder Woman 1984 theories and plot rumours will be either confirmed or debunked at San Diego Comic Con this July when the Warner Brothers panel kicks off in Hall H.
