Melania Trump beams as she hosts spouses reception in New York in edgy nude dress

Melania Trump, 48, was in New York today hosting a reception for the spouses of visiting heads of state.

Back in her old stomping ground, Melania beamed and looked completely at ease as she welcomed partners of world leaders at the US Mission to the United Nations.

No doubt happy to be back in New York, Melania warmly greeted other First Ladies and important spouses.

A stark contrast from her dark ensemble for the UN General Assembly yesterday, she wore an edgy nude dress.

The dress had a slightly futuristic, edgy style to it, with structured shoulders and detailed panelling.

It featured a high neckline with a Mandarin-style collar, with was split down the middle showing a glimpse of Melania’s neck.

Cinched in at the waist, the dress also featured belt detailing, which accentuated her tiny frame.

Perfect for the grey New York day, the dress was made of a thick woollen material.

Known for her enviable shoe collection, the mother-of-one wore an eye-catching pair of white pointed-toe stilettos.

The First Lady looked happy and relaxed as she spoke to the spouses about her charitable interests and her Be Best campaign.

Guests at the event included Karen Pence, wife of US vice president Mike Pence.

Melania’s bright and nude ensemble was a stark contrast to the all-black outfit she wore to the UN General Assembly yesterday.

The former model was by her husband’s side yesterday at the United Nations talks.

The Presidential pair were at the General Debate of the 73rd session of the General Assembly, where Donald joined in discussions.

Looking as chic as ever, the First Lady wore an all-black ensemble, looking understated and demure for the political event.

Her black shirt dress featured a high neck with collar detailing, featuring buttons running down the length of the dress.

Adding more of a shirt feel to the garment, it also featured pocket detailing with matching buttons.
