Emmerdale actor pleads not guilty to attacking pensioner
Emmerdale actor Mark Jordon has pleaded not guilty to attacking a pensioner.
Jordon, who plays Daz Spencer in the soap, denied the allegation during a brief appearance at Minshull Street Crown Court in Manchester.
The 53-year-old, who has also starred in TV series Heartbeat, denies wounding and common assault against a 68-year-old man.
Andy Potts suffered injuries including a bite during the incident on 1 July which began in a pub in Oldham.
Most of the hearing was taken up with administrative matters, including discussion of CCTV and police bodycam footage.
The trial is scheduled for 29 July next year.
Judge Mark Savill granted Jordon, who is from Oldham, unconditional bail until his trial.
