The hard rock band have been travelling the world on their Not in This Lifetime… Tour, which concluded in Hawaii earlier this month.

Having made over $560 million, from 125 shows over the last two years, Guns N’ Roses are now working on their first studio album since 2008’s Chinese Democracy.

The news comes from guitarist Richard Fortus when speaking with radio station KSHE.

He said: “We are going to try to do another record and get it out soon. I think it will happen faster than you think.”

When asked if a single could arrive in 2019, Fortus replied: “It could definitely happen… there might be stuff started.” As for the next tour, he added: “[It] depend[s] on whether or not we have a new record out. If we have something out, then we could tour.” As for the album’s theme, he said: “Axl’s got a lot to write about”

In fact at Guns N’ Roses’ final performance of their latest tour in Honolulu on December 8, Axl hinted at the new album.

According to NME, he said: “We can’t do what’s next until we finish this, right? Now that all that’s done, we can get on with things.”

: “We’ll see what happens.

“I mean, I have no prospects. Now that we’ve actually mended fences and gotten back together and done this, we’re going to keep it together.”

Slash added: “Because all the bulls*** we’d had that sort of caused all of the s*** back in the nineties, there was a lot of outside influence on that, so now that that’s sort of eliminated we’re just left to our own devices.

“We get along f***ing great.

“So I think we’re going to go well on into the future.

“I mean, Axl’s got a ton of s*** that he recorded already, so we’re going to get in there and just start getting into that thing, and then if we do a record and then do a tour, I could see that cycle going on endlessly.”
