US National Security strategist Naoufal Houjami said: “Joe Biden‘s ignoring the CHAOS of his failure policies in New York and America by eating ice cream.”

And Fox News commentator Joe Concha commented: “It’s all about optics. You watch the President with a big ice cream cone in his hands talk about hostages that were taken on October 7.

“Think about all the months that have gone by since (…) you are in the hands of these monsters and here you have this elitist president in New York City holding a big ice-cream cone talking how, ‘hey, we may have a deal by the end of the weekend.'”

Concha added: “He should be doing that in a press conference or in an Oval Office type of setting, not with Seth Myers. It looks horrible, it looks out of touch.”

Asked when he thought a cease-fire could begin, Biden said: “Well I hope by the beginning of the weekend.

“The end of the weekend. My national security adviser tells me that we’re close. We’re close. We’re not done yet. My hope is by next Monday we’ll have a ceasefire.”
