Fans will remember getting the slightest glimpse of Luke’s mechanical cybernetic hand at the conclusion of The Force Awakens.

The hero of course saw it chopped off in a lightsaber duel with his father Darth Vader in The Empire Strikes Back, losing his blue lightsaber –

That same lightsaber once belonged to Vader when he was known as Anakin back in the prequel trilogy. Now of course Rey has it and has returned it to Luke.

Star Wars theorist Mike Zeroh, who has a source at Pinewood Studios, has revealed an apparent leak involving Luke’s mechanical hand and the Skywalker lightsaber.

In his new YouTube video, he says: “In the past couple of months we did learn that his mechanical hand will only be featured in the First Act.

“And then as we enter Act 2, he’s gonna glove it back up as we saw…in the .

“Now in the First Act of The Last Jedi there will be a sequence in which Luke Skywalker’s mechanical hand grabs the Skywalker lightsaber, his father’s lightsaber.

He added: “We did hear that there’s going to be a very special moment for Luke Skywalker’s mechanical hand on screen to show it off to the fans.

“We got a little glimpse of it in The Force Awakens but we’re gonna get an even closer look at it in The Last Jedi.”

Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi will be released in UK cinemas on December 14, 2017.
