Neymar’s future has come into question in recent months, with Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United interested in the Brazilian.

United even had an offer for the 23-year-old turned down last year.

The forward signed a new contract in October 2016 that locked him into a five-year deal with an eye-watering £195million release clause.

And Barca technical director Robert Fernandez has assured supporters that no club will bid that high.

“I don’t think that’s going to happen,” he told a press conference.

“It’s not our intention to lose players, certainly not good players,” he said.

“We try to improve within the confines of what is possible.

“We’ve not had any offers for any players in our squad.”

Neymar recently confirmed he has no desire to play in the Premier League, explaining that while he enjoys watching Philippe Coutinho and Gabriel Jesus in action, he hasn’t been tempted by a move to England.

“To be honest I’ve never thought about living in England,” he said.

“I do watch the Premier League a little bit, but then again I don’t like to watch too much football.

“I like to follow Coutinho and Gabriel Jesus just to see how they’re doing but I’ve never touched the subject of moving to the Premier League with them.

“I’ve played in some grounds in England, I believe almost all of those from the big teams – it’s hard to pick one that I liked the most.”

Neymar’s release clause at is set to rise to £219m in 2018.
