All-inclusive vacations are extremely popular among travelers, for good reason.

Everyone is budget conscious these days, and knowing upfront exactly how much you can expect to pay for your stay alleviates a considerable amount of stress related to vacation planning.

SuperClubs is one of the pioneers in this arena, as they practically invented the concept—and then continued to take it to whole new levels. They stand out from the crowd with their Super-Inclusive resorts, where virtually everything you could want in a luxury vacation is included with no extra charges—and no tipping allowed.

It’s important to do your research before making reservations, though. Here are some helpful things you should and shouldn’t do before and during your resort stay:

Do Make the Most of it

If you are accustomed to the traditional pay-as-you-go vacation structure, it may be an adjustment to get used to the all-inclusive system at first. You may instinctively reconsider ordering extra food or drinks, or getting those spa services because you are worried about an escalating bill.

Remind yourself that you are free to get as much as you want—so maximize your stay with no worries!

Don’t Make Assumptions

The term all-inclusive is now casually tossed around by hotels to make their properties sound more appealing to guests. But the specifics about what’s actually included can vary widely.

Be sure to read the fine print closely, or ask questions before making your reservations.

Do factor in All the Numbers

When comparing your vacation options, be sure you aren’t comparing apples to oranges. If a resort isn’t all-inclusive (or uses that term in a misleading way), you may end up with lots of extra charges that cause your bill to soar.

Don’t Think all Resorts are the Same

Even within the all-inclusive space, you have a wide range of options. There are some that are family-friendly, while others are strictly adults-only.

Locations and amenities also run the gamut. This means you are sure to be able to find a place that offers the perfect choice for you, no matter what you seek in an ideal vacation spot.

Do Watch Out for Resorts that Cut Corners

Hotels will commonly claim to be all-inclusive, but then limit your options in certain areas. For example, they will charge extra for premium drinks or restrict you to the less expensive dining options. (This isn’t a worry at SuperClubs, where all-inclusive offers an elite, upscale experience.)

Don’t Forget to Check Out the Reviews

Anyone who has ever made travel arrangements online knows that you cannot always rely on what the property or resort tells you. These claims can often be exaggerated or misleading.

Check out what people who have actually stayed at the location have to say. At many review sites, you can also see actual photos of the rooms and property posted by guests.
