World's favourite film franchise TOPS Star Wars, MCU, James Bond, Harry Potter: Guess No 1
Over the last century, there have been some huge film franchises. From James Bond and Star Wars to Harry Potter and the MCU, many are based on much-loved stories. Now the world’s favourite has been determined by a detailed analysis based on production budget, box office earnings, IMDb score, metascore, award nominations and award wins of high-earning film franchises.
And according to SlotsOnlineCanada’s research, Peter Jackson’s adaptations of JRR Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Hobbit make the Middle-earth series the world’s favourite film franchise.
Coming out at No 1 makes a lot of sense considering the critical and financial success of the six fantasy films.
Together they made an incredible $5.85 billion at the global box office alone.
