Diaval actor Sam Riley praised Jolie’s “aura and charisma” which she brings to the character.

Michelle Pfeiffer, who plays the evil Queen Ingris, said of Jolie’s performance: “She’s just other-worldly; it takes your breath away.”

Chiwetel Ejiofor, who features as a member of Maleficent’s original species in the film, also comments on how Jolie has brought “strength” to the character.
