The 68-year-old was revealed this morning as the first of three headliners at the Donington Park main stage for next summer.

Black Sabbath’s frontman was only at Download Festival just two years ago for the band’s big farewell tour.

While they’ve split after 50 years together, Ozzy has announced his set will be part of his final solo world tour.

The singer’s last solo album was Scream in 2010, so could he be releasing some new material in the next year as a big send off?

While Ozzy bowed out with Black Sabbath early this year, guitarist Toni Iommi exclusively revealed to Express.co.uk that maybe the band isn’t quite done.

He said: “Who knows. We might at some point do one off shows. There’s nothing planned at all.”

Another rumoured headliner for Download Festival 2018 is Metallica, who apparently hinted they would get the gig at their Genting Arena show in Birmingham last week.

The move would make sense since they’ve been touring with their new album Hardwired…to Self-Destruct for the last year.

Metallica last headlined in 2012, while Download 2017’s biggest acts were System of a Down, Biffy Clyro and Aerosmith.

Download Festival takes place in Donington Park on June 8-10 2018 and tickets can be purchased .
