Black Panther 2: Marvel boss teases Chadwick Boseman SEQUELS after Avengers Infinity War
The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first black superhero-led movie is set to smash a number of box office records this week.
While Black Panther stands as the best reviewed MCU movie to date with 98% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.
With such critically and financial certainty going forward, surely a solo movie trilogy is in the works, following Iron Man, Captain America and Thor?
It’s almost certain Black Panther will remain in the franchise after Avengers Infinity War and Avengers 4, so what is the studio’s boss Feige planning?
Speaking with Variety, he teased: “We always say we work on one movie at a time.
“If you have any good ideas, put it in the movie you’re making. If you don’t, you might not be able to make another one.
“That said, Panther has been around for more than half a century in the comic books and there are many, many stories to tell.”
Feige has also confirmed he wants director Ryan Coogler to return, with the latter already thinking ahead in terms of sequel plans.
Speaking with Screen Rant, Coogler said: “Without getting into specifics, what I’ll say is something that I kind of, you know, what I struggled with at first is the difference between T’Challa in the comic books versus T’Challa in the MCU. And I always think that the differences lie in how old he was when he lost his father.
“I’d be really interested to see, you know, what kind of king he is with experience and how that affects his performance in the stories.”
Black Panther is out now.
