The Queen’s stunning jewellery collection: Pictures of her finest jewels

Queen Elizabeth II, 91, has inherited a beautiful collection of jewellery which she delights in wearing on her royal tours and engagements.

Many of the jewels have a rich history making them unique and special to the Queen.

Take for example the Aquamarine Clip brooches which Her Royal Highness wore to visit Mayflower Primary School in June 2017. The Queen’s parents, Queen Elizabeth and King George VI, gave her the elegant twin brooches for her 18th birthday in 1944.

Another example includes the Centenary Rose Brooch which the Queen wore to Royal Ascot in 2016. The hand-painted diamond brooch was designed by G. Collins & Sons jewellers for the Queen Mother’s 100th birthday.

Pictures show the Monarch’s most famous tiaras including the Grand Duchess Vladimir Tiara, made in 1874 by Russian court jeweller Bolin.

You’ll also see Queen Alexandra’s Kokoshnik Tiara, a traditional Russian style headdress created to mark the silver wedding anniversary of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra in 1888.

The Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara also features in the gallery. The tiara was a wedding present for Queen Mary in 1893.

The Queen finest jewellery also includes necklaces from King Khalid of Saudi Arabia, Lady Jardine and earrings from Queen Victoria.
