Melania Trump hosts annual White House Easter Egg Roll – see the pics

Melania Trump, 47, joined President Donald Trump, 71, on the South Lawn of the White House on Monday for the 140th Easter Egg Roll.

The annual event, which is not open to the public, saw thousands of people selected by lottery join the President and First Lady for the traditional Easter celebration which dates back to 1878.

Donald and Melania Trump were joined by the Easter Bunny on the South Portico of the White House and waved to the crowd before making their way down to the lawn to greet the children and families.

The couple were also joined by their son Barron and Donald’s daughter Tiffany as they blew the starting whistle to begin the traditional Easter Egg roll. Melania was later seen reading a book to the gathering children and sharing a tender kiss with her husband.

Activities at the event included an egg hunt, the egg-rolling race and Easter crafts such as decorating cards, cookies and eggs.

The former model wore a pastel blue coat with black buttons for the event.

This comes one day after Donald and Melania were pictured in Palm Beach, Florida attending an Easter Sunday Church service.
