James Bond 25: Daniel Craig SPEAKS OUT on his final 007 movie and Danny Boyle directing
Back in August the 50-year-old confirmed he would return for his fifth and final James Bond movie.
Since then Boyle has revealed he’s working on the script for Bond 25 with Trainspotting screenwriter John Hodge.
However Craig is not willing to confirm him as director just yet, having briefly answered a couple of questions on the upcoming movie.
Earlier this week the Bond star attended the charity auction of his Aston Martin Vanquish.
On the red carpet Associated Press asked him if Bond 25 was his next project.
Craig replied: “Yeah.”
But when asked if Boyle was directing, he smirked: “We’ll see, we’ll see.”
Sources have told the Hollywood Reporter that the director’s deal is done, however it may be that Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson aren’t ready to announce the news yet.
When he announced his return on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Craig confirmed Bond 25 would be his final 007 movie.
Colbert asked: “So is this the last Bond? Can you tell me if you’re going to do the one after that?”
The actor replied: “No, this is it. I just want to go out on a high note and I can’t wait.”
Other Craig-era Bond regulars like Ralph Fiennes (M), Naomie Harris (Moneypenny) and Ben Whishaw (Q) are yet to be confirmed.
As for the villain, a recent rumour claimed Bond will be facing a woman.
James Bond 25 will be released in November 2019.
