BREAKING: C-130 Hercules military plane CRASHES in US – emergency services rush to scene

The US Air Force confirmed the crashed plane was a WC-130 from the 156th Airlift Wing in Puerto Rico.

Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport warned passengers to expect disruption to flights scheduled to depart this afternoon.

The airport’s official Twitter account posted: “Some flights are beginning to be impacted due to an aircraft incident off property.

“Customers should check with their airline prior to clearing security.”

The C-130 is a transport plane used by dozens of countries across the world, including the UK.

It is capable of carrying up to 90 passengers or more than 20,000kg worth of equipment.
