Avengers Infinity War directors reveal REAL reason Captain Marvel was snubbed

WARNING SPOILERS FOR AVENGERS INFINITY WAR AHEAD

While Ant-Man, the Wasp and Hawkeye were missing from Avengers Infinity War, Marvel fans were hoping to get a glimpse of Larson’s Captain Marvel.

However she was only referenced in the final shot of the end credits sequence, when Nick Fury sent her a distress call via his pager – one that may be able to send a message back in time or across the multiverse.

Nevertheless the good news is she’s getting her own 1990s-set solo movie in March next year, before appearing in Avengers 4 a month later.

Joe continued: “And we considered not doing any tags. For that reason.

“Then we thought maybe it was too brutal. Everything’s about trying to find balance.

“I mean, all of these characters are [playing a major role in Avengers]. It’s hard to talk about the next one. 

“We’re going to try to protect the secrets of that one the same way that we did on this one.”

Anthony added: “She will be a part of the MCU at that point.

“And part of the promise of these movies is that they are a road forward for all the films.”

Captain Marvel will be released in UK cinemas on March 8, 2019, while Avengers 4 will follow on April 26, 2019.
