Captain Marvel movie ‘BIGGER game-changer than Avengers Infinity War or Wonder Woman’

She was only hinted at in Avengers Infinity War, yet it looks like Captain Marvel will be a major player in Avengers 4’s fight back against Thanos.

But before then there’s the Captain Marvel solo movie, which is set in the 1990s.

Now according to a “trustworthy source” this won’t just be like any other MCU origin story.

Screen Geek report: “Though Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War were all different and original movies, nothing is going to be as different and original as Captain Marvel.”

The insider continued: “The upcoming movie from Anna Bolden and Ryan Fleck is going to change the Marvel Cinematic Universe and give us something no one has seen before – and something that no fan is expecting.

“Wonder Woman was obviously considered a very important movie for women, but Captain Marvel is going to blow it away.

“It will completely redefine superhero movies – similar to how Marvel Studios changed everything back in 2008 [with the first Iron Man].

“If you thought Infinity War was a game-changer, you’re not ready for what’s coming in Captain Marvel.”

Captain Marvel’s premise reads: “Set in the 1990s, Captain Marvel follows Carol Danvers as she turns into one of the galaxy’s mightiest heroes after the Earth is caught in the centre of an intergalactic conflict between two alien worlds.”

Yesterday news arrived that Annette Bening would play Captain Marvel’s mother.

While the film also sees the return of Samuel L Jackson’s Nick Fury and Clark Gregg’s Agent Coulson.

Also returning is Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser, who was the main villain in Guardians of the Galaxy.

And Jude Law plays Captain Marvel’s mentor who trains her in her new powers.

Captain Marvel is released in UK cinemas on March 8, 2019, while Avengers 4 follows on April 26.
