Liverpool have arranged a private jet to fly Mane back from the Africa Cup of Nations.

Mane and Senegal were dumped out of the competition by Cameroon at the quarter-final stage on Saturday after losing 5-4 on penalties.

But the Reds winger is unlikely to feature in Liverpool’s title showdown with Chelsea at Anfield tomorrow night (8pm).

Sky Sports reporter Vinny O’Connor said: “We’re hoping to hear from Jurgen Klopp over what role Sadio Mane might have against Chelsea.

“Mane is due back from the African Nations Cup but it’s my understanding he’s unlikely to train with his team-mates today.

“It means it effectively, at the very least, would rule out a starting role against Chelsea.”

Mane last played for Liverpool in their 2-2 draw at Sunderland on January 2, in which he scored his ninth Premier League goal of the season.

But since his departure the wheels have fallen off for Klopp and Liverpool, with just one win in their following SEVEN games.

That was against Plymouth in the FA Cup, with the Reds needing a replay to get past the League Two side.

Liverpool drew with Manchester United and lost to Swansea in the Premier League, before crashing out of the EFL Cup AND FA Cup.
