Deadpool 2 end credits scene: Captain America star Chris Evans almost cameoed in BEST way

The Marvel sequel has what some fans are calling “the best post-credits scene ever”.

But there were some ideas that never quite made it into Deadpool 2’s end credits.

According to Paul Wernick, co-writer of Deadpool 2, there were plans for Captain America star Chris Evans to appear.

UPROXX asked if there were any post-credits scenes that didn’t make the cut.

The writer said: “There were different codas kicked around.

“There were more X-Force interviews that were talked about. One was Chris Evans as Human Torch.”

Marvel fans will know that before he was Captain America Evans played Human Torch in Fantastic Four and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

Wernick told ComicBook.com: “It was cut just because, it was at the very, very end, and it left the audience with this, ‘Ohhh?’

“It’s like, ‘Sure, it’s baby Hitler, but it is a baby. It’s kind of weird to watch that….We are Deadpool but there is a line we can’t cross.”

Deadpool 2 is out now and released in the US on May 18.
