John Wick Chapter 3: Guess which former James Bond star is joining Keanu Reeves’ sequel?
Reeves’ assassin thriller has become something of a new Die Hard.
And with a solid box office return and cracking reviews, it’s no wonder John Wick is returning for a third outing.
While regulars Laurence Fishburne, Ian McShane and Lance Reddick are returning, more cast members have been announced today.
The latest is former Bond girl Berry, who starred in Die Another Day. She announced her casting on Twitter writing: “See you in a year, Mr Wick.”
The message is written on Continental paper, the hotel that acts as a safe zone for assassins in New York.
Details of her character are underwraps, but she’s not the film’s villain – that’s Hiroyuki Sanada, who was announced in January.
Meanwhile The Addams Family’s Anjelica Huston has been cast as The Director.
She’s joined by Mark Dacascos as Zero, Jason Mantzoukas as Tick Tock Man and Asia Kate Dillon as The Adjudicator.
Last year Express.co.uk interviewed John Wick director Chad Stahelski, who teased the plot of Chapter 3 and the franchise’s future.
He said: “It’s going to be a good way to wrap up what has become something of a trilogy.
“Without giving too much away, there’s a reason we named it chapters instead of part one, two and three.”
But how’s it going to start? Fans will remember at the end of John Wick Chapter 2, the hitman is in some of a pickle.
He’s killed a man on Continental hotel grounds and now Ian McShane’s Winston, has no choice but to launch an international contract to kill John – giving him just one hour to get a head start before it goes live.
Strangely he gives John a medallion, like the blood oath one from earlier in the film, telling him: “You might need this.”
We asked Chad what was going on there and what its impact will be in Chapter 3.
He revealed: “We purposely left that ambiguous. You could take it two ways. You could take it as Winston handing John back his marker, so he basically has the blank cheque.
“Or is it Winston handing join a marker saying, you can call in a favour? I’m fairly certain that’ll be answered in Chapter 3.
John Wick: Chapter 3 will be released on May 17, 2019.
