Expendables 4 CONFIRMED: Sylvester Stallone returns but will Arnold Schwarzenegger?
The 71-year-old action star is now returning four years after Expendables 3.
The news comes from Deadline who confirmed The Expendables 4 will shoot with Stallone in early 2019 after he’s returned for Rambo V this September.
While usual tough guys Jason Statham and Dolph Lundgren will no doubt return for the franchise’s fourth outing, it’s not clear who else will.
After all Arnie previously said he’d only come back with Stallone, so hopefully the Terminator star will announce his return in the near future.
The action series has been Stallone’s way of uniting ageing action stars into one kick ass team.
Over the trilogy actors like Chuck Norris, Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson and Bruce Willis have taken part.
And now former James Bond Pierce Brosnan wants to get involved.
When the third outing came out, he said: “The Expendables? Yeah, I’d love to do The Expendables. It’s just a kick in the pants.”
According to Screen Daily, the synopsis for Rambo V is as follows: “[Rambo] finds him[self] living in a ranch in Arizona, deeply troubled and wrestling with PTSD as he picks up casual work wherever he can.
“When long-time family friend and estate manager Maria informs Rambo that her granddaughter has gone missing after crossing into Mexico for a party, he sets off with her to find the youngster.
“What ensues is a violent descent into hell as Rambo uncovers a sex-trafficking ring.
“He teams up with a journalist whose half-sister has also been kidnapped and must deploy all his skills to save the girls and bring down a vicious crime lord.”
