Throughout the years it has been You’ll Never Walk Alone. Back in 2005, on the run to Istanbul, it was Ring of Fire and now it’s ‘Allez, allez, allez’.

But what are the words to the catchy Liverpool song?

“We’ve conquered all of Europe

We’re never gonna stop

From Paris down to Turkey

We’ve won the f**king lot

Bob Paisley and Bill Shankly

The Fields of Anfield Road

We are loyal supporters

And we come from Liverpool.”

Champions League final head-to-head

– Real Madrid have eight wins compared to Liverpool’s seven, with only one loss, pointing to them being clinical on the big stage

– However, they have only scored 30 goals, compared Liverpool’s 40, a difference of 33%

– Real Madrid’s 30 goals have come from 208 attempts on goal, a conversion rate of 14.4%

– In contrast, Liverpool’s 40 goals have come from 189 attempts on goal, a conversion rate of 21.2%

– Liverpool score more goals per game (3.33 compared to 2.5)

– And these goals come from less attacks (603 vs 678), less runs into the attacking third (173 vs 226) and less runs into key areas (134 vs 170)
