Leaked promotional art already gave fans the first look at Captain Marvel in full costume, flying through the air.

The movie arrives in cinemas worldwide next February, so it makes sense for the first teasers to arrive soon.

This year Marvel will not have a formal presence at San Diego ComicCon in July. Nor will there be Disney Expo, since the D23 events take place biennually, so the next one is in 2019.

However, new reports say the first Captain Marvel trailer is already finished and could be shown at a huge European event next week.

The International Union of Cinemas Convention and Trade Show will be held from 11 June to 14 June 2018 at the Centre Convencions Internacional in Barcelona.

CineEurope is a huge trade show and the perfect platform to debut Marvel’s first female-led franchise.

MCU Cosmic reports: “This coming week is a big European theatre exhibitor convention, much like CinemaCon in the US, called CineEurope. This is what that leaked Avengers 4 promo art was produced for. Disney is making their big presentation to the convention on Wednesday, and it’s possible the attendees there will get their first sneak peek at Captain Marvel.”

This would mean the Captain Marvel trailer could debut on June 13.

Disney previously showed extensive Last Jedi preview footage to a similar industry event in La before the first trailers were made public.

MCU Cosmic editor Jeremy Conrad has a strong track record with breaking insider news. He also explains that it is likely and possible that Marvel are able to produce trailers while a movie is still being shot.

He said: “You’re going to see people immediately claiming that since they’re still filming the movie it’s impossible to make a trailer, but that’s simply not true at all.”

“With the way modern Marvel movies are made these days, effects are done during filming as scenes are completed. It’s the only way they’re able to film a movie twelve months out and still hit a release date.”

Avengers Infinity War screened substantial footage at ComicCon last summer, which was reported and leaked long before the first officail trailer hit the internet.

Marvel is likley to hold back the public release of Captain America materials until some time just before Ant-Man and the Wasp hits US cinemas on July 6.
